Isn't that what Welfare is and has been for? I don't understand all this Black repression. They are doctors, actors, athletes, politicians, lawyers, engineers, business owners, policemen, firemen, and etc. Absolutely nothing positive will come out of this and as you stated, will cause more division, but thats the intent. I see it as money laundering. Just like the Ukraine debacle. Its bad enough I have to pay taxes for their rent assistance, healthcare, EBT cards and everything else while I have to scrimp and save. Taxes for their children to attend school and get an education so they can contribute to society. Not my fault they choose not to. Can't claim them as dependents on my 1040! Is Ms. Warren now going to proclaim she has some Black blood in her like she did for being Native American? These politicians need to be physically thrown out! Like the trash they are!

First of all my family did not arrive here till the late 1800s early 1900s long after slavery was abolished, so why should I have to pay reparations when my family wasn’t even here during slavery? And what about reparations for the Native Americans? or the Irish who were kept from working with the NINA laws or those who were sent to interment camps (I believe the Japanese did receive $20,000) but there were Germans and Italians who were also in interment camps too. Why should anyone pay for something none of us now living had anything to do with what happened 150+ years ago?

Great questions, Nancy. Again, it is logistically impossible and unfair in every sense of the word. Thanks!

Reparations. Now that's hilarious. Years ago, the Regina Coeli House hired a Kansas City Black Woman to cook. Now, I am not against Blacks. Kansas City has lots of wonderful Blacks. Hard working Bible Thumping Baptists who raise their children to be proud and American and who have Magnet schools that would compete well with the Catholic Parochial schools of the 1950's. But just like the Whites have their Trailer Park Section Eight Trash, the Blacks have their Welfare Trash and let me tell you, Fanci Nanci, our cook, was at the top of the heap.

One fine day, we were discussing the "Civil War", and she instantly started telling us all about how "we owed her" because her ancestors were slaves. This coming from a woman who drove a Cadillac because she was able to pad her welfare payments under the table, with jobs like the one she had with us.

One of our crew showed her a Confederate Army Regiment composed entirely of Black People, enlisted and officers. She was aplomb, and insisted the picture had to be fake.

No ma'am, the picture was real, because the "War Between the States" was not about slavery, at least not overtly.

And if you want anybody paying reparations, Nanci, it should be the Vatican Bank. After all, the popes authorized the slave trade starting back in the 1200's, but in earnest in the 1500's.

Oh Nanci, so much of what you have been taught was history is so Fake and Ghey. Where to start... ???

The most recent republicuck "debate" had a full 8 minutes of redactions due to a "TV glitch". Just as Vivek R called out the corporate corruption in DC starting with operation warp speed, they then threw up elevator music and a very long commercial break.

I recall back in 1976, during the Ford-Carter debate, they suddenly lost power when the subject of the CIA was brought up. Thanks!

And just how long are people suppose to pay for the sins of their fathers. Countless social programs, hiring and college entance all have benefited the black folk for last 60 years. And obviously the blacks have long forgotten about slavery, the Klan and Jim Crow laws because the majority vote Democrat.

The entire idea is ridiculous, and as logistically impossible as it is wrong in every sense. Thanks, Robert!

Usually, in class action suits, the lawyers get most of the money. So even if a reparations bill actually passes, and I strongly doubt that it will, only the attorneys will enrich their coffers and everyone else will get a mere pittance.

You could be right. I just can't see how it could logistically be done, leaving aside how unfair, wrongheaded and unconstitutional it would be. Thanks.

Indeed. That is why Class Action Suits Exist. The Law is by the Attorneys, of the Attorneys, and for the Attorneys.

No need to pander and capitalize "white".

I'm not pandering. I capitalize the first letter for all races. Equality. Or Equity. Thanks.

I see. Neither concepts exist in Nature.

I was being facetious. Seriously, I routinely capitalize both Black and White when referring to races. I think that's fair and consistent.

The German in me capitalizes almost everything.
