It brings me no joy to say that I’m reluctant to visit the USA because of American over-policing.

But Alan,” you say, “what about violence in Mexico?”

“Violent men kill other violent men in Mexico. Don’t tread on their turf, and you’re okay.”

“But what about crooked cops?”

“Sometimes a cop wants your lunch money, but there’s no ‘asset forfeiture’ laws under which they legally take your cash, car, or home.”

=====

Donald, in 2015 you wrote, “No politician ever has been elected on a ‘soft on crime’ platform.” Nine years later, the USA has big city DAs backed by Soros -and- an aggressive Thin Blue Line.

It’s only going to get crazier.

I guess I didn't see the Soros-backed prosecutors releasing violent offenders without bail, G. Alan. It does just keep getting crazier. Thanks!

1984 + Lord of the Flies. I was not aware of these others being incarcerated for such ridiculous "crimes". While I see those who Should be behind bars with multiple offenses, get a slap on the wrist, $700 bond fee and walk around to commit more crimes. I do not look at cops as Heroes. They have no cajones to stand up for whats right. It disgusts me that Trump wants Assange to basically hang for his crime. Watch your sixes, people. Next you'll be swinging from a tree for giving another person the finger.

Snowden and Assange should be pardoned and given medals. In a corrupt uniparty oligarchy that won't happen. One thing about police that will never change, they are order followers.

the idea they're going with is to terrorize people, not the actual criminals, but ordinary people who step out of line.

Well, I just reposted it in May. You can see this backup Substack is getting a bit more attention since then. Feel free to share it wherever you like, Nancy. Thanks!

History does repeat itself from 2015. Life in prison for a backpack reminds me of the Jan 6 people who were waved into the White House by FBI and Capital Police. FBI acted like a 3rd-base runner's coach waving them in. Protestors so violent they remained inside the ropes of the lobby.

Jan 6 people still rotting in dark, solitary confinement after almost four years. No lawyer, no charges, no arraignment, no trial. God help us all.

Yes. They had railroaded many people long before January 6, Liber8or. Just not so many, all for the same thing. Thanks.

This sadly, is true. Except for REAL criminals and terrorists our current elite are bringing in to get votes. The cartels are released, as are many murderers, if they fit a demographic the politicians and media want out there.

Exactly right, Jane. Thanks!
