Excellent. I think if I would have named my SS after a movie it would be called THE THING.

I grow food a few months out of the year. I over grow and offer it to my neighbors. They aren’t interested. I’m now starting a garden in the front. I will make a sign informing my neighbors to freely take what they need. Let’s see if this will work. It’s Ghost Gardens share the food project. I refuse to fail.

Wow. People so apathetic they won't take free food from their good-hearted neighbor. I bet they'd line up to wait for a free small slurpee on Free Slurpee Day at 7-Eleven. Geez, I wish you were my neighbor. I'd take the food. Thanks!

“Getting along with everyone” leads right back here, Donald. They will never leave you alone. The team that wants to win, will win, and the means are fully justified. This John Doe movement would be filled with those who would have you tolerate everything under the sun. Who can be against their compassions, right? This is folly.

You're probably right, Everyman. If such a movement became big enough, it would be full of the same kind of government infiltrators all other "extremist" movements feature. But I'm entitled to a moment or two of Frank Capra-style dreaming. Thanks.

Thanks for the background story on how your title of I Protest came to be. I love this John Doe idea, & immediately started thinking about JD chapters all over the country 😃, how it could take off, & yes, how it could be ruined 😠 exactly as stated above. Gotta start somewhere - if only with ourselves first. Lovely concept. Love it.

Gimme the Doe!

I agree totally Don 👍 Keep the faith up I guess. It’s a very heartening idea and I pray it happens.

This is such a great idea, Don. Really inspiring piece of writing - it would be a tremendous thing for the world if this caught on!

I really think it might work, Smoke. The key would be getting enough people involved, which is the constant roadblock we run up against. Thanks!
