Clearly I must have done something good in a previous life; my utilities are reliable, as is the trash pickup, and it’s still possible to use the roads without losing an axle to potholes (mostly.) But I live in Texas and count my blessings every day. Not perfect by any means but county and city governments are pretty responsive. Who knows how long that will last with half the world moving here
