Public education is indoctrination which is why Prussia invented it. Johnny Can't Think. Never could think. Was never taught to think. And all growed up just doesn't have the time.

Don- you left out a popular official narrative from your piece, the Government is here to help you! The political elite create problems (like Covid) then declare that we can help you, we are here to save you!

More and more people are waking up to the lunacy going on in our country. I am wondering if the next civil war will be about the American people being held captive by the elite, not by racial slavery?

I hope you don't mind, Mr. Jeffries if I add more of my thoughts on this wonderful post. You talked about Hollywood and TV. The vast majority of "films' Hollywood makes and TV shows on network TV are dreadful. Most streaming shows are pretty bad too. Hollywood is slowly dying, and Indie and foreign films are superior anyway. Great films that will stand the test of time like Casablanca, Gone with the Wind, Citizen Kane, The Godfather, the original Star Wars trilogy, Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark, Pulp Fiction, Blazing Saddles, Caddyshack, Airplane!, Gran Torino, Dirty Harry, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, Patton, The Longest Day, Field of Dreams, Ghostbusters, The Chimes at Midnight, Dracula, Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, The Mummy, Nosferatu, The Invisible Man, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Phantom of the Opera, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, The Searchers, The Wild Bunch, No Time for Sergeants, The Great Dictator, Groundhog Day, Invictus, 12 Years A Slave, Lincoln, Heartbreak Ridge, Monster's Ball, Cry Freedom, Malcolm X, Thelma & Louise, and The Bourne Identity could never be made today by Tinseltown!

I can't think of any actor or actress living today expect maybe Tom Hanks, who measures up to the stars of yesteryear like Bud Abbott & Lou Costello, Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney Sr., Lon Chaney, Jr., Claude Rains, Paul Newman, Steve McQueen, Greta Garbo, Ingmar Bergman, Marilyn Monroe, Audery Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn, Lauren Bacall, Jimmy Stewart, Gary Cooper, Robert Redford, Sidney Poitier, Laurel & Hardy, Andy Griffith, Don Knotts, The Three Stooges, W.C. Fields, Raymond Massey, John Wayne, Clark Gable, Clint Eastwood, Burt Lancaster, Errol Flynn, Jeffery Hunter, Cesar Romero, or Chuck Connors. Name one TV show on today that is as profound, legendary and timeless as programs like The Andy Griffith Show, The Rifleman, Wanted!: Dead or Alive, McHale's Navy, Hogan's Heroes, The Wonderful World of Disney, Gomer Pyle USMC, All in the Family, The Jeffersons, Sanford & Son, Rawhide, The Rebel, Scooby Doo, Looney Toons, The Munsters, Streets of San Francisco, Kojak, Perry Mason, Dragnet, Hawaii Five-O, Star Trek, Batman, Superman, Combat!, and Baa Baa Black Sheep.

Also, don't learn your history from Hollywood or TV. At best, the stuff they put out is semi-historically accurate. Saving Private Ryan is a great film and based on a true story, but it shouldn't be taken as the full story of World War II. Same goes for Dunkirk too. Roots is FAR from an accurate portrayal of the Transatlantic Slave Trade. The way we taught history in the past was wrong. It was whitewashed and simplistic. But how we teach it today is just as bad in the other direction, its uber-woke and PC. Here are some common myths about American and world history:

1. America and the West were the only ones that practiced slavery and it was particularly brutal. Truth: Total nonsense! Slavery has been practiced by almost every human society since time immemorial. Also, slavery as practiced in the United States or the West was no more brutal than slavery as practiced by the Greeks, Romans, Africans, Native Americans, Arabs, Polynesians, etc.

2. The Native Americans were idyllic hippies who spent all day dancing. Boulderdash! The Native people were just as human as the rest of us. They practiced cannibalism, conquest, chattel slavery, sexual slavery, traditional gender roles, environmental destruction, and tortured prisoners.

3. Colonialism was empirically a no-good, very bad thing. Yes, western colonialism had many flaws and has left behind some negative legacies for sure. But it was actually for the most part a good thing for the people of the third world. European colonialism has a number of benefits. To name a few: Expanded education, widened employment opportunities, the abolition of slavery, super-competent governance, female rights, enfranchisement of untouchable or historically marginalized groups, creation of basic infrastructure, fair taxation, access to capital, improved administration, the generation of historical and cultural knowledge, and national identity formation just to name a few.

4. The Red Scare was all just paranoia and Joe McCarthy was an evil, scheming opportunist. No, the Red Scare was not entirely just paranoia. There were a number of Russian spies and Communist Party members throughout the U.S. government and society in fields like academia, the arts and Hollywood. Tailgunner Joe was a hero too.

5. The Hippies were the good guys, the Vietnam War was pointless and unpopular and the Sexual Revolution was great for women. 1) The counterculture was a mixed bag. They were also VERY unpopular with most Americans. 2) The Vietnam War was popular with a significant minority of Americans right up to the end and our troops did hold off the rise of Communism in Southeast Asia for nearly a decade. 3) Not entirely, any woman who lived in a Hippie commune will tell you free love left them depressed and unsatisfied and adult men having sex with underage girls was part of it too.

6. The dropping of the Atomic Bomb was unnecessary and a war crime. No, the dropping of the bomb was definitely necessary as the only other alternative would’ve been an amphibious invasion of Japan which would’ve killed millions on both sides and dragged the war into 1946. On the second point, no. It was a moral compromise made to save lives and end the Second World War.

7. White flight happened purely because of racism. Okay, well first off it wasn’t just white flight but also middle class and wealthy black people who moved out of the cities as well. Second, racism was a factor yes, but it was only one of many, the others would include:

• Factories moving out of the cities and into suburban and rural areas in the postwar era.

• Suburbanization

• Rising postwar incomes

• The construction of new highways.

• The proliferation of the automobile.

• Rising crime

• Riots

• Forced busing

• Failed idealistic policies

8. The South went Republican because of racism. Nope. Not even close. The South went Republican for the following reasons:

• The conservative faction of the GOP rose to predominance within the party and the South is the most conservative part of the nation.

• The end of racial segregation.

• The introduction of air conditioning.

• Businesses moving down South

• Shifting demographics

• By 1968, race was no longer an important issue for Southern voters. Issues like busing, welfare and the size of government were more important to them.

9. Lynching happened only to black people and slaves were considered three-fifths of a person. A) No, people of all races were lynched. In fact, the largest single lynching in American history was in New Orleans in 1891, and the victims were Italian-Americans not blacks. B) That’s a total misunderstanding of the three-fifths compromise.

10. America is systemically racist country. Nonsense! America is one of the least racist, most inclusive countries in the world.

Mr. Jeffries you have written an essay that in a just world would be in the New York Times or the Washington Post! But the mainstream media can’t handle the truth or anything that goes against their official narrative. Nonetheless, this is a tour de force of an essay every American simply must read! There are so many important truths packed into this article! The Official Narrativists better known as liberals and leftists, are just as crazy now as they were then. These days they are going after random Tesla cars. You can find millions of them on many college campuses around this country.

A second American Civil War is a sobering thought. We’re not there yet as a country, but we’re close. The official narrative projected to us by the government, media, education system, and the scientific establishment is what we are all supposed to believe without question and many do. But most Americans know that they are full of it. It goes without saying whom really pull their strings: the government, intelligence agencies, big business, and the military-industrial complex.

Allow me to debunk those nonsense mainstream narratives. The scientific community is broken and corrupted by Big Pharma. They’ve lied about the science behind COVID and Climate Change. Vaccines can and do cause autism. Beef tallow is healthy and seed oils are not. Coke and Pepsi need to return to using cane sugar NOT using high fructose corn syrup. Fluoride in water is in fact bad for you because your getting too much of it. No, racism is NOT a major issue in this country anymore. Does it still exist? Absolutely. But government-sanctioned racial discrimination as existed in the 19th and 20th Century is a thing of the past. No, white Americans should not feel guilty about the actions of their ancestors. By the way, only a tiny minority of white Americans have any generational connection to slavery. Nor was America’s wealth to any degree built on it. Did it enrich individuals, businesses and universities? Yes. But not the nation as a whole. In fact, slavery held back the economic growth of the South.

First and second-wave feminism were hugely beneficial to our society. Third and fourth-wave feminism have been disastrous for it. Not all police or military are good people. Many have been caught abusing their power or committing war crimes. Free speech is for all of us including disgusting groups like the KKK, Neo-Nazis and white nationalists. Ever hear of the 1977 Supreme Court case Skokie v. Illinois? As much as I detest Nazis, they have the same rights as anyone else.

Lastly, right you are about the American Civil War! It is one of the seminal events in our nation’s history but it is misunderstood by the vast majority of Americans. It was NOT simply a war fought between the good and noble North fighting the evil South who committed treason to hold other human beings as property. This is nonsense! Was slavery an important issue? Of course. But it was only one of many issues the North and South fought over in the War Between the States. By the way as Historian Shelby Foote said “No soldier on either side gave a d*** about the slaves. They were fighting for other reasons entirely in their mind.” Most Union soldiers fought to preserve the Union and most Confederate soldiers fought to defend their home from what they saw as an invasion. Slavery was only an important issue to the

absolute partisans on both sides: fire eaters in South Carolina and abolitionists in Massachusetts.

I agree with your observations and commentary, Don. Its sad. I have a real hard time to listen to any garbage from the Left or Right anymore. Again, when I talk to small town folks, they know exactly whats going on. They are connected with the Earth, Nature, and God in ways I find extremely humbling and gratifying. It helps to keep me sane.

I follow Mark Dice on YT. Yes, he's another Trumper, but I like to keep an open mind (I simply cannot listen to anything the DemonRat party has to say at all). The other day, he played a clip of one of Trump's last speeches/interviews. I couldn't believe what I heard "weiners are not for butts". I laughed so hard tears ran down my face. Trump is removing the Pride Month crap - Thank God! He certainly is brash, but that comment couldn't be more true. Anyways, he does have some humor. Far cry more than Old Demented Rotten to the Core Joey.

I needed a good laugh, something that is becoming more and more rare. If I don't, I will end up crazy like the rest of the population. God save us!

America never had a platform everybody could agree on. In the beginning, diversity was seen as a strength. Meanwhile, the states were more cohesive, and the union was for commerce and mutual defense, and nothing more.

And then, with the Elites in Washington discussing manifest destiny and dreaming of empire- that was what united America. But the empire climaxed in 1848, and no new frontiers were left to conquer. That was when friction increased until the Civil War- which was Scripted bankster Theatre, erupted in 1860.

Since then, tensions simmered. But most Americans were farmers until the 1930's. They were too busy raising hogs and growing pumpkins (mine are doing great this year, for those who asked) to concern themselves with anything but the most local politics.

That changed during the Great Depression, which saw the flight to the cities, migration to the industrial north, and a generation that wanted to get ahead through education.

And all the while, we have seen a general decline of decency, morals, churchgoing, and self control.

Since the 1990's, America has been one ongoing party, where the Sheeple go from one distraction to the next. What could go wrong?

Once again Donald, you have read the writing on the wall. My only contention, having enjoined battles up close and personal is the spoof pointer of putting the word 'Civil" ahead of "War". Although that same spoof also precedes "Rights, Procedure" and many other doppelgangers in a hijacked language by the "Liberal Hive Mind or Borg Collective" if you will, seems to be in the best interest of the Bankers and their government tools.

As a young man we used to taunt those who would issue threats with "You and whose army". But Bonhoeffer cleared the air with his assertions that stupid people really are more dangerous than evil people (if there is any actual distinction by their words and actions). The overt class warfare of the rich against the poor and a perpetual rendition of the Hunger Games by the wicked covetousness of obdurate shylocks insistence on defending the indefensible has become so ubiquitous, that any attempts to unscramble that omelet are met with the utmost contempt and violence. For instance, I have one neighbor who hires me for peanuts to do his bidding, while he accuses me with baseless accusations of being a thief and a liar. When I confronted him on several occasions to prove his assertions, he suddenly goes into "selective amnesia". I finally told him the other day, that no matter how badly I might need the money, I don't need the psychological abuse's he loves to dish out. I have other neighbors who want me to credit them with stuff that I have but somehow feel entitled not to have to pay for it, or even make a fair offer. If there is any virtue left in this country, it is with the silenced.
