Our Winless Wars Gone Woke

Obviously, nothing has changed about our disastrous, interventionist, “bipartisan” foreign policy since I wrote this nearly four years ago. We’ve committed $350 billion or whatever to a black hole in Ukraine, and the man who criticized all of our “senseless wars,” Donald Trump, is rattling sabers with Iran, and further bombing poor Yemen. If we avoid World War III, it will only be because the real masters behind the scenes decide that perpetual fear hanging over our heads is a better method of control.

In the viral madness (pun intended) that has engulfed America since early 2020, our disastrous foreign policy had been largely shoved into the background. Most Americans probably didn’t realize we’d been nonsensically occupying Afghanistan for twenty years. Even fewer could attempt to explain just what we were doing there.

A few days ago, the suddenly unoccupied Afghanistan fell like unarmed kindergartners to the dreaded Taliban. You know, the guys who used to be on our side, when it was the Russians nonsensically occupying their country. The Taliban follows a long tradition of former American assets, like Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein, whom became foremost examples of what H.L. Mencken called “an endless series of hobgoblins.” The Taliban joined Al-CIAeda, Hamas, and Isis/Isil in the pantheon of “terrorists.” The ones Dubya Bush declared us at perpetual war with.

It’s ironic that foreign “terrorists” are now back in the news. They’d seemingly been eradicated, along with the flu and what was left of our civil liberties, by the multi-faceted, immortal COVID-19. Just as the term “racist” will be problematic in the future, since it applies equally to birds, Dr. Seuss, basic grammar and grand wizards of the KKK, how are they going to separate the Taliban from the homegrown opponents of their tyranny, the “domestic terrorists” H.R. 350 is promising to target?

The present Afghanistan mess was entirely predictable. Well, at least to anyone “awake” and with no power in the United States. Our foreign policy hasn’t been centered around American interests since…well, maybe the War for Independence? Okay, I’ll throw the dwindling number of “Greatest Generation” members a bone and say that at least we “won” World War II. But that’s the last war America fought to win. A long losing streak is inevitable when you aren’t trying to win.

General Douglas MacArthur actually tried to win the senseless Korean “conflict.” For his troubles, Harry Truman fired him. And most of America cheered on “give ‘em hell” Harry. According to Oliver Stone, during our decade plus in Vietnam, America dropped more bombs on that tiny nation than all the bombs dropped collectively, by all sides, in World War II. We buried surrendering soldiers alive in Iraq. We killed and raped untold numbers of civilians there, and in Afghanistan. We put Bradley/Chelsea Manning in jail for exposing that. But we accomplished nothing beyond those terrible atrocities. No land gained, no principle served.

There was absolutely no reason to go into Afghanistan, and certainly we had the very recent Russian failure there as a historical reminder, if we needed one. But the state controlled media, as always, cheered on this occupation like all others. Leading politicians of both parties supported it, as they support all wars. Peace hasn’t been popular since the sixties, but even then the antiwar movement was riddled with undercover government agents.

Now, the “Woke” Left that controls all political discourse in this crumbling country, is in a quandary. How do they spin the narrative here, regarding the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan that has seemingly created a much worse situation? They can’t really blame Biden, whom they have propped up from the moment they picked him to be the next president. Maybe now they’ll start to notice his dementia? Perhaps Saturday Night Live and the lame, state controlled late night talk shows will recognize just how spoofable Biden is?

So far, the focus has been on the horror of the “vulnerable” people left behind, and of course, the pleas by mindless sycophants in both parties to open the borders even wider for the mass of new migrants. The underlying inference is that we ought to go back. To finish the job we couldn’t get done in twenty years. And what was the job? Other than minding the poppy fields, as Dubya admitted. There is little concern for the Americans trapped there. And that is standard operating procedure for ‘Murrica.

As I detailed in Hidden History, our government abandoned troops going back to WWII, and especially in Korea and Vietnam. The POW-MIA coverup is yet another in the endless crimes of our leaders, one that was orchestrated and defended by both parties; particularly the likes of John Kerry and John McCainiac. Ross Perot was the last public figure to make a big issue out of this. None of our cucked and corrupt “representatives” today will dare to mention it. Instead, it will be “Welcome, migrants!”

Perhaps the new, transgender-laden “diverse” U.S. forces will rape and pillage a little less than their predecessors? By the definition used against past and present enemies of America, our troops have been guilty of heinous war crimes going back to the War Between the States. I won’t belabor the point; those interested can check out my book Crimes and Cover-Ups in American Politics: 1776-1963, which features a Foreword by one of the few true statesmen of recent years, Ron Paul, for numerous examples.

There is great potential in a “Woke” military. Imagine our soldiers lecturing the enemy, scolding them in the best “Karen” manner. Demanding that they respect our pronouns. Screaming “racist” at them. They really could probably annoy any enemy to death. Especially those populations who think there are two genders, don’t understand the culture of victimhood, and laugh at the concept of “White Privilege.” Could they be successfully distracted by all the obesity, and tattoos, and pink hair?

Our corrupt and incompetent leaders are hardly going to respond to the travesty in Afghanistan by reexamining our horribly misguided foreign policy. Instead, they’ll react in exactly the same aggressive manner, once the next foreign “hobgoblin” is demonized by our state-controlled media. Already, many on the Left are comparing the Taliban to the hapless Trump supporters who were lured to Washington, D.C., waved into the Capitol Building they pay for, by cops they pay for, and have been imprisoned for months without charges, bail, and subjected to solitary confinement.

The greatest antiwar activist, General Smedley Butler, declared that war was never about enemies, but opportunities for profit. He called his timeless little book War is a Racket for good reason. The last president we had who was genuinely for peace was John F. Kennedy. You know what happened to him. Peace never pays. War always does. There is no pomp or pageantry in advocating for peace. No bronze stars or medals of valor. No worship from an adoring, unthinking public.

I don’t know what the future of American foreign policy will be. Our tyrannical government has basically been at war with the people over the past year. This war isn’t likely to be one of “containment.” They will be fighting to win. Which means the American people will lose. At best, the unending tide of illegals from the south, and migrants from other lands we’ve destroyed, will bring home more joys of diversity. You can’t import the Third World without becoming the Third World.

On behalf of all decent Americans, I apologize to the people of Afghanistan. And Iraq. and Yemen. And Syria. And everywhere else our government has meddled, with miserable results. Know that we don’t support this. We can’t even vote them out of office, or redress our grievances with them. We just have to hope they don’t turn their twisted foreign policy- “Woke” or not- exclusively on us. Maybe they can create migrants out of us. But would we be accepted by any other country?
