A Less Kinder and Gentler Cleansing

We are still standing at the precipice of World War III, two and half years after I wrote this. And millions of people seem to want it.

In 2011, he Huffington Post ran an article headlined, “Could a small nuclear war reverse global warming?” That should have been a clear warning to those still clinging to the Left with some kind of Peace Corps-Kumbaya-style idealism. This is now the “new normal” on the Left; they love the prospect of nuclear war.

We’ve all seen films from the fifties, instructing schoolchildren to “duck and cover” to protect themselves from nuclear fallout. My generation found this kind of antiquated nonsense to be quite entertaining. Fortunately, the last decent president we had, John F. Kennedy, arrived on the scene in time to stop a potential nuclear confrontation over Soviet missiles in Cuba. One of my first memories as a very small child is trudging downstairs to the fallout food supply, set up in a corner of our unfinished basement.

After the institution of the “Fail-Safe” system, with a hit movie accompanying it, most of us felt safer. Even the dastardly Soviets wouldn’t be mad enough to launch a nuclear missile at us, when that would trigger an automatic nuclear response. In the intervening decades, “nonproliferation” of nuclear weapons was a big deal to the Left. They wanted detente with the Soviets, not war. Probably millions of young liberals bought the “No Nukes” concert album, and many also attended in person. So where’s Jackson Browne when you need him?

The “Woke” Left has turned liberalism on its head. They don’t march for peace. They don’t even flash the “peace” sign. They hold as decidedly a favorable opinion of war, as they once held for labor unions and public television. And they certainly have abandoned their concern for the poor, as witnessed by the recent living satire of Martha’s Vineyard elitists demanding the military remove the illegal immigrants from their midst. They are too busy reporting on any violations of political correctness to worry about much else.

Where they once fought for the rights of those who’d been denied all or some of them, they now fight to deny some or all rights to those they disagree with. Where they once fought for prison reform and opposed capital punishment, they now want to imprison their political opponents. In Kangaroo courts without due process. The American Civil Liberties Union recently announced that they were kind of getting out of the whole “Civil Liberties” thing, to concentrate on “racism” and “climate change.”

Speaking of “climate change,” let’s call it out for the tremendous psyop it is. They used to call it “global warming,” but they routinely reinvent these ridiculous “Woke” concepts to suit the tenor of the day. I could cite numerous, ominous predictions from the 1960s onwards, which appeared in all the biggest mainstream outlets, and were uttered by the biggest mainstream politicians, regarding either the boiling over of the planet, or a new ice age. Judging by their predictions, we were supposed to have gone extinct a long time ago. And whatever happened to the Ozone layer? I suppose people gave up spray deodorants for nothing.

“Climate Change” denotes a connection to the climate. This is far different than say, “Ecology” or “Environmentalism” used to be. I was into that. Who didn’t want to stop pollution, to clean the water and the air? But the “Climate Change” activists were as silent as Mothers Against Drunk Driving always is when a celebrity or pro athlete is arrested for DWI, after the Gulf Oil Spill. You know, the greatest environmental disaster of modern times. I don’t think Greta Thunberg has ever heard of it. Shouldn’t that bother them a bit more than you and I eating meat or taking hot showers?

My friend Cindy Sheehan has pointed out how silent these “activists” are over all the environmental damage wreaked on the world by the American military. Regime change isn’t exactly “good for the planet.” And why don’t they ever include China and India- which are supposedly the two biggest polluters on earth- in their blanket condemnation of mankind? Okay, humankind. I think it’s because they really only care about condemning one part of man/humankind- the White race.

When the Nord Stream pipelines were recently blown up, the “Woke” Left concentrated all their attention on the world’s Bogeyman of the moment, Vladimir Putin. Of course, he blew it up himself! Why wouldn’t he? He’s mad! Sure, both Joe Biden and Victoria Nuland are on videotape from months ago, both assuring us all that the Nord Stream pipelines would be “taken care of.” But that’s just another baseless “conspiracy theory.” Ask the “fact checkers,” they’ll tell you.

But the “Climate Change” activists don’t seem to be concentrating on the impact that an explosion of pipelines will have on the….you know, climate. All that gas can’t be good for the ocean, the fish, etc. Ecologists would have been really upset about that. But then, they would have been even more upset about that whole Gulf Oil spill thing. Was anybody ever prosecuted for that? Or even fined? “Climate Change” activists clearly don’t give a hoot, as the old anti-pollution commercial used to say, about real damage being inflicted upon the environment.

And as for the climate, why don’t these “activists” look up at the skies sometimes? Check out those unnatural patterns up there, what “conspiracy theorists” have dubbed Chemtrails. You think that might be dangerous for us to be breathing in? We can’t avoid it, after all, since it’s in the air. And the recent hurricane in Florida brought to mind the whole weather-manipulation program of our government, which has been quite real for decades. But instead of asking questions about that, these predictable robots just blather on that the intensity was from “Climate Change.”

Taking on geoengineering would mean taking on truly powerful forces. After all, you have to be pretty powerful to manipulate the weather. They say Nikola Tesla invented an earthquake machine nearly a century ago. You really think they wouldn’t be interested in that technology? No, it’s much easier to rant at the average peasant, what with their gas-guzzling cars, and cushy lifestyles. We need more “sacrifice.” From the riff-raff. Not from say, Gulf Oil executives.

The “Woke” Left has been censoring anything and everything that “offends” it for many years now. And yet, because some book about a mouse was taken out of a library or something last year, they have now mounted a campaign against book burning. Which should make them burst into flames or something. They have succeeded in “cancelling” countless Americans from their jobs, and even sent some to our overcrowded prisons, because they said or wrote something that was “offensive.” They have ventured far beyond any mere hypocrisy.

So, while the best of the old liberal Democrats were in favor of diplomacy over war, fought to protect free speech and civil liberties, sought to increase working class wages and benefits, wanted to increase opportunities for all by encouraging a meritocracy, and to diminish the disparity of wealth, the modern Democrats are an entirely different matter. They oppose free speech. Period. They never even mention the word “peace,” and think “diplomacy” is “appeasement,” to use Lincoln and FDR’s pet term. They don’t care about wages or benefits. But they are very, very concerned with “transgender rights.” And they live to cry “racist!” It’s their very favorite word.

I know Elon Musk’s background, so please don’t remind me that he’s no white knight. I fully realize that. But he did tweet out a pretty sound proposal recently, regarding letting the people of the areas in dispute between Russia and Ukraine decide whose country they want to be part of. Makes sense to me. But not to the “democracy” of Ukraine. The Ukrainian ambassador to Germany responded eloquently to Musk by stating, “No Ukrainian will ever buy your fucking Tesla crap- Fuck off!” And to the “Woke” Left, it is Musk here who is the villain, who is to be spoofed by “comedians.”

The number one hero of our depraved culture right now is the former actor and comedian Volodymr Zelenskyy, who has been hired to play the real life part he once portrayed on television, of the Ukrainian president. Zelenskyy appears to have about the most brutish and objectionable personality imaginable. He sneered at a reporter’s question regarding all the billions American taxpayers have lavished upon him. He regularly pushes for World War 3, and is encouraging our pathetic leaders to start it. But in the eyes of Hollywood, he is the new Obama. #Stand with Ukraine!

Vladimir Putin, on the other hand, does not make these kinds of obscene overtures regarding nuclear conflict. He has been the only halfway voice of restraint in this entire affair. I don’t care if he was justified or not in invading territory which historically belonged to Russia. Even if he was the Hitlerian demon our state-controlled media depicts him as, it’s none of our business. We have a collapsing, Third World Banana Republic here that desperately needs our attention. Our southern border remains wide open, and we are willing to die to guard Ukraine’s?

I don’t know, maybe a majority of Americans now want World War 3. Bring back those air raid drills! And they are cavalierly discussing “calculated nuclear strikes,” just like Curtis LeMay and other right-wing extremists back in the day once did. But they were considered insane in the eyes of a far more rational Left. If they succeed in making nuclear war palatable, what will that do to the reputation of the 1964 film Dr. Strangelove? Can they simultaneously applaud satirizing something they now endorse?

And then there are those out there who claim there are no nuclear weapons. I need to get one of them on my show. I used to play around with that idea myself. After all, they lie about everything else, so why not that? I guess we’ll find out if the Ukrainian loving “Woke” Left gets their wish. While I can entertain the idea that they’re another in the endless serious of hoaxes we’re subjected to, still I don’t want to take a chance with nuclear fallout. Something seemed to have happened to Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Now the respectable Right is certainly not going to oppose any war, including one with nuclear weapons. They are still gloating over the “necessity” of dropping the bomb on Japan. That saved millions of lives! War is one thing that both “competing” parties have always supported. Even when real liberals were in some positions of power, the party leadership for the Democrats was always in the hands of globalist warmongers, just as Republican leaders are always cucked out RINOs.

And really, if nuclear weapons are cool now, why all the fuss and bother about Iran and other supposedly irresponsible “rogue” states? We’re still the only country to ever deploy them against another nation, if you believe nuclear weapons are real, of course. If we are now saying nukes aren’t beyond the pale, then why can’t any country have them? They’re perfectly acceptable in the New World Disorder. You might as well say they can’t have grocery stores or electricity.

We have truly allowed the worst among us to rise to power. Our leaders are supposed to represent us as a whole. We know they don’t represent our concerns; I have noted frequently how our forefathers apparently fought for “no taxation without representation” in vain. But symbolically, they represent the United States as a country. And what does that say now? That the USA is for war, against free speech, against monitoring the voting process or scrutinizing election results, against upgrading a decayed infrastructure, for mutilating children and “cancelling” dissidents. I could go on, but you get the point.

Our leaders don’t represent the interests of millions of their citizens. And their outright Satanic devotion to “transgenderism,” “Critical race theory,” and the persecution of their political opponents flies in the face of any good moral code. Like they are “offended” by any exposure of their corruption, we are deeply offended by their lack of principles and morality. How can one believe in God and support these monstrosities? Whoever legitimately casts a vote for any of them is a lost cause.

I will remain a true liberal, a populist that will always stand up for the little guy. Give me my Charles Dickens’ books, to remind me of what real reformers once thought. Let me listen to JFK’s American University Speech, the greatest in American history in my view, which almost certainly signed his death warrant. Or Martin Luther King’s speech the night before he, too, was assassinated. Let me read 1984 again and again, to remind me of the caliber of people this world once produced.

One of those true reformers, Mahatma Gandhi, once said, “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.” Now the “fact checkers” tell us that Gandhi never actually said this, that it was some forgotten labor activist. Regardless, they did ignore us, and they are laughing at us. I’m not sure there will ever be a fight, and if there is, I’m less certain that we would win. I don’t see the fire and passion necessary in very many people. We do have a huge advantage in numbers, but that seems to be all we have.

The Left used to love talking about “ethnic cleansing.” Well, they have purged their ranks of any naysayers. My friends Cindy Sheehan, Naomi Wolf, and Cynthia McKinney are no longer invited to any of their reindeer games. Neither is Tulsi Gabbard or Dennis Kucinich. They have philosophically cleansed anyone who would naturally object to their outright lunacy. They have figuratively learned to love Big Brother, and arrived at the point where they honestly believe that War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, and Ignorance is Strength.
